Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need
to know.

From preparation and finishes to timings and aftercare, here are some of the questions we’re asked most often.

What type of paint do you use?

We use specialist spray-applied coatings selected for kitchen cabinetry, with a focus on adhesion, durability and a smooth, refined finish.

How long does the process take?

Most kitchens are completed within a relatively short working period, although timing will depend on the size, condition and specification of the project.

What exactly gets refinished?

As standard, we refinish the visible external faces of the kitchen when the doors and drawers are closed, including edges and fixed cabinetry where appropriate.

The backs of doors can also be included as an upgrade.

Do you remove the doors?

Yes. Doors, drawer fronts and removable components are taken down as part of our refinishing process so they can be prepared and finished properly.

Can you repair damaged doors or cabinetry?

In many cases, yes. Minor dents, scratches, splits and surface defects can often be repaired during preparation before the new finish is applied.

Can you change the handles?

Yes. If you want to update your handles as part of the transformation, we can often fill existing fixing holes and prepare the doors for a different handle layout.

Can you match a specific colour?

We can work with a wide range of recognised colour references and bespoke matching options, giving you far more flexibility than choosing from a limited standard palette.

How durable is the finish?

Our coating system is selected specifically for demanding kitchen environments and is designed to resist everyday wear while maintaining its appearance over time.

Every FARROW kitchen respray is backed by our 5-year warranty.

Do you spray wardrobes and other furniture?

Yes. Alongside kitchens, we can also refinish wardrobes and selected fitted or freestanding furniture where the construction and existing surface are suitable.

How do I get a quotation?

Send us clear photographs of your kitchen together with your postcode. We’ll review the project and provide an initial quotation along with guidance on the next steps.
