The FARROW Process

Crafted, not simply
sprayed.

A lasting finish begins long before the first coat is applied. Every FARROW kitchen follows a refined process built around preparation, precision and attention to detail.

Our Approach

The finish is only as good
as the preparation beneath it.

Refinishing a kitchen properly requires far more than applying a new colour. Each stage has a purpose — from dismantling and preparation through to refinishing, curing, reinstallation and final inspection.

01
Consultation

Understanding your kitchen.

Every project begins with your existing kitchen, the finish you want to achieve and the character of the space around it.

  • Initial photographs and postcode review
  • Quotation and project guidance
  • Colour and finish discussion
  • Booking and preparation advice
02
Deconstruction

The kitchen is broken down
into its refinishing components.

Doors, drawer fronts and removable components are taken down, organised and prepared for the next stage of the process.

  • Doors and drawer fronts removed
  • Components catalogued
  • Handles and fittings removed where required
  • Fixed cabinetry prepared in situ
03
Protection

Your home is prepared
before refinishing begins.

Surrounding surfaces are protected and the working area is prepared so the refinishing process remains controlled and precise.

  • Floors and worktops protected
  • Adjacent surfaces masked
  • Appliances and surrounding finishes protected
  • Spray areas prepared for controlled application
04
Preparation

The foundation of
the finished result.

Existing surfaces are cleaned, repaired and mechanically prepared to create the correct foundation for the coating system.

  • Thorough cleaning and degreasing
  • Repairs to minor damage where required
  • Mechanical surface preparation
  • Priming where appropriate
05
Refinishing

Precision spray application.

Specialist coatings are applied through controlled spray techniques to create a smooth, consistent and highly refined finish.

  • Specialist coating system
  • Precision spray application
  • Consistent colour and sheen
  • Multiple stages where required
06
Curing

Allowed to develop
its full performance.

The coating is given the correct time to cure before components are handled and returned to their final position.

  • Controlled drying and curing
  • Finish inspected before handling
  • Components protected during the process
07
Reinstallation

Your kitchen comes
back together.

Doors, drawer fronts and fittings are reinstated, aligned and checked so the finished kitchen looks complete rather than simply repainted.

  • Doors and drawer fronts refitted
  • Alignment checked
  • Handles and hardware reinstated
  • Final adjustments completed
08
Quality Assurance

The final FARROW inspection.

Before handover, the kitchen is reviewed as a complete finished space, with attention given to consistency, alignment and overall presentation.

  • Finish quality checked
  • Alignment and detailing inspected
  • Final presentation reviewed
  • Aftercare guidance provided
The FARROW Standard

Preparation. Precision.
Finish.

The purpose of every stage is the same: to create a finish that feels considered, durable and entirely suited to the kitchen it belongs to.
